I had arrived almost two
days ahead with Wendy so that we could visit places like the Louvre,
the Eiffel Tower and do a lot of walking around just looking! We
arrived at the Eiffel Tower one evening just as the lights went on
and this is when it’s magical! We also bought ourselves a boat bus
pass so that we could jump on and off at the various stops to see
the sights….
Our first four days were spent in Paris, at the wonderful hotel
Clarion Saint James & Albany, just across from the Louvre. We
met for our first evening together in our own dining room where we
introduced ourselves and enjoyed a wonderful meal together…then it
was off to bed because tomorrow the tour would start and we all
wanted to be ready to experience Paris!
I have to admit, I didn’t quite know what to expect of Paris. It’s
a huge city, but just like London, I think we all felt very much at
home here…what a truly breathtaking city it is….
