July 1 - Canada Day
Peter greeted us with small Canada flags at breakfast this morning.
We
boarded our coach and set off for Blooms of Bressingham. It was
another
perfect day. Adrian Bloom greeted us and chatted a bit about the
gardens, then took us on a tour pointing out highlights along the
way. He invited us into 'Foggy Bottom' which wasn't open to the
public at that time, for a very personal view of his private garden.
We had a wonderful time with lunch here and time to wander the
garden center, or visit the children's area where there was an old
1897 carousel or trains to ride.
Since it was Canada Day, it was only fitting that we locate a pub to
celebrate. after everyone got their pint we sang our national anthem
- thankfully almost in tune, then Larry sang it in French. I have
included a picture of our coach driver (who was drinking coffee) and
the lady behind the bar. it was called the 'Buck's Head' pub.
