Chelsea Flower Show
Tour 2005
May 22-30, 2005
May 29, Savill Garden and
Windsor
Our last and final day of the tour ... we are out to Windsor today. Out in
the country and to visit a wonderful garden called Savill in Great Windsor
Park. We were greeted by a male duck on the bridge and no sooner had we
gotten to the other side when the mother duck came running up to us with her
little ones. This garden is a delight, so restful and just singing with
birds.

After this delightful visit we headed back into town to have lunch at a
local pub called the Corner Bar and Restaurant. Everyone loved the meal but
I think they will all agree the best part was the desert, sticky toffee
pudding. Delicious! Then it was off on our own to explore A lot of them went
with Hilda to visit Windsor Castle and the rest just walked around town.
Eton was just down the hill so we could visit the swans, which belong to
HRH. They are very well looked after as many people buy them food to feed
them. Even a very forward Canada Goose was there to partake of the goodies
being offered.
Back to our hotel to pack and enjoy our farewell dinner ... then a sleep
full of memories of new friends, many many plants in beautiful gardens and
the magic of London!
It was another great tour and I hope you enjoyed your visit ... now you
really must come and experience this for yourself.
