Chelsea Flower Show
Tour 2005
May 22-30, 2005
May 28, Sissinghurst and
Great Dixter
Another gorgeous day, although for taking pictures it was a bit too sunny.
The first garden today was Sissinghurst, past home of Vita Sackville-West
and Harold Nicolson. This garden just gets better with age. I have visited
many times and it is always a delight for the eyes and senses. As mentioned
earlier, there are many pictures of the garden on previous tours as well for
you to enjoy.

Then it was off to Great Dixter, home of Christopher Lloyd. Some of the
group saw him out walking his dogs while we were there and were thrilled
about it. The front of his home is full of pots full of all kinds of goodies
to look at. The garden as usual is jam packed full of plants. He has left
his mark and impression on this garden and it will truly be interesting to
see what happens to it as time goes by.
