April 25th Walda Peron,
David and Alice Van Buren Museum
Up and out for a departure to Heide and the Giardini Garden of Walda Peron.
Walda is also an interior designer.
For lunch we went to Brasserie Georges back in Brussels where we got to
taste some local delights, like crab cakes and French fries served with
mayonnaise ... excellent! Very popular place with a great ambiance - art
deco! www.brasseriesgeorges.be
After lunch we visited the David and Alice Van Buren Museum. Filled with art
deco inside, it was a treasure to visit and outside, the gardens are on 1.5
hectare featuring the Garden of the Heart and the Labyrinth, filled with
seven 'rooms' each featuring cast sculptures by Andre Willequet based on the
Song of Songs.
We were then treated to an Art Nouveau Tour before returning to our hotel.
Dinner this evening was at the Restaurant Le Millesime
