I was flying off to Melbourne to arrive at 9:45 am and from
there to my hotel the Crown Promenade
www.crownpromenade.com.au where I would then have free
time to enjoy Melbourne on my own.
Fitzroy nursery was my first stop, then T2 a great tea shoppe
with samples that tasted so good. I discovered a great little
flower shop that was loaded to the hilt and so darn beautiful to
wander around happy people there too.
I walked the area and saw some incredible architecture and
gumnut trees. A beautiful church with gardens that were so
restful and had a lovely water feature and such beautiful
sculptures, then across the road to Fitzroy Gardens which was a
joy to wander around in and quite a gem with that glasshouse.
More walking, more photos then it was time to relax a bit before
heading out to dinner on the Colonial Tramcar Restaurant.
www.tramrestaurant.com.au Colonial Tramcar Restaurant
offers lunch and dinner in some of Melbourne's oldest trams
dating back to 1927, which have been elegantly refurbished in
Pullman style decor to become the world's first mobile tramcar
restaurant. Glazed windows allow diners to privately enjoy the
passing scenery while enjoying a meal.
